5. How to Choose Ideal Flowers for Pressing 
- Always think about how flowers will look while laying flat
- Look for flowers that have thin petals, preferably ones that aren't vascular 
- California native flowers work very well because they don't hold a lot of water and their leaves are often waxy. They dry very well and are yet another reason to appreciate California native flora.
